The reformulation of the Social Democratic party website was inserted in a context of institutional renewal, in order to approach the party to the citizens, and give them a new interest in politics

This requires a change in the structure. To the strictly informative and descriptive component that characterized the previous site, we’ve added a more participative, modern and dynamic component, that integrates the most recent technology on the Internet.
A qualitative leap that reflected the desire to communicate in a more direct way.

Frequently using video to spread the word, this site intended to change the communication between politicians and society. But it’s not only the video that makes a difference in this website. It presents some more interesting details, namely the areas of Statistical Observatory, the “Torre de Vigia” (Watch-tower) and the Flickr and Youtube channels (the first ones to be used by a political Portuguese party). In the Flickr channel, for instance, one can found updated photographs of the party, old posters and historical photographs.
